Swapsie for Esbjorn Svensson Trio?

Edit: Only here would a swap between fierce grindcore and cool jazz happen

Jackhammer
I liked the way your second half went...certainly scarier than the first . And the Bong-Ra track was a killer! Send it this way too if you don't mind .

Janszoon
I think all your choices were solid. The pig destroyer track is great, but fails to scare me. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Daisy Chainsaw, Sunn 0))) and Skinny Puppy on the other hand...yikes! Sunn 0))) certainly ripped through my skull. And the Swans track has this uneasy feel about it.

I did know what to expect from most of these (save for Jackhammer's second half alone), but that doesn't take anything away from the experience. I think the next one should be a guessing game.

Thanks! I'm glad someone finally mentioned the Swans song. It's not the typical terrifying idea of a nightmare but there's this sense of impending doom in that song that really affects me every time I hear it, especially in the last two minutes or so when that prominent bass line kicks in. It's like this feeling that you've been damned for all time or that the world is about to end and there's nothing you can do about it except sit and wait. I definitely had quite a few nightmares in my life that revolve around that kind of mood so I thought it was kind of fitting.

The Swans track is brilliant. I only have Cop and Young God so I definitely want to hear the album that that track is from. Are you into the Angels Of Light/. Gira's later project. Very very good.

Oh man, I totally need to hook you up with some later era Swans. I'll PM you in the next day or so.

Unfortunately, I've never given Angels of Light a listen. I've always meant to but somehow just never got around to it.
