Either way, great tool :p: Of course I still can't get half of my friends to swap from iTunes (Memory hog) to foobar... |
I probably have less than 3% in WMA so it's no biggie. Foobar is the nuts and doesn't drain your RAM like every other media player. I have used it for a couple of years now.

Anyway, back on topic, I have yet to DL any compilations, but that should be a problem TOO much longer ;)
I await your next compilation, hopefully I find a surprise or two :) |
Up now...
Seven Songs To Tell Your Ex To Fuck Off To http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2235/...fd7bd11fb9.jpg Janszoon's Seven Songs To Tell Your Ex To Fuck Off To Mix I've learned something about myself with this mix: apparently I'm a sarcastic bastard because almost none of these songs are very obviously angry musically, at least at a surface level, but almost all of them are extremely sarcastic lyrically. Also, yes, there are two Ween songs on this comp. What can I say? Ween are just that good at writing fuck off songs. 1. The dB's—"Amplifier" 2. Ween—"Falling Out" 3. The Shods—"Musta Been Drunk" 4. Ween—"Baby Bitch" 5. Stan Ridgway—"King for a Day" 6. Heretix—"10-2-1" 7. Bob Mould—"Roll Over and Die" Jackhammer's Seven Songs To Tell Your Ex To Fuck Off To Mix Song descriptions from Jackhammer: 1. Archive—"Fuck you" The lyrics are perfect and the way they are delivered so casually adds a laconic honesty. 2. Sex Pistols—"No Feelings" Kinda clichéd but this is a general rant at everyone and probably one of my earliest recollections of vitriolic lyrics. 3. Mansun—"You,Who Do You Hate?" I have chosen this a little more for the music although the lyrics are strangely apt and are saying that if I ever come back I want to be as hateful as you. So when the gently strummed acoustic riff is punctured by this huge crashing guitar/drum combo it just feels hateful. 4. Garbage—"Not My Idea" Shirley Manson's lyrics are full of undisguided rage at times but delivered almost sweetly: "You thought I was a little girl You thought I was a little mouse You thought you'd take me by surprise Now I'm here burning down your house" 5. Flyleaf—"I'm So Sick" As soon as I heard this song the female singer genuinely sounded pissed off and hateful. Unfortunately the rest of the album was awful but this is still a great ballsy song and those screams are yum :) 6. Bitch Alert—"Heroine" A terrible name for an all girl band and it's kind of cliched musically too but the lyrics 'I Don't Wanna love you' are succinct. 7. Nina Simone—"It Aint No Use" A kind of bittersweet way to end the list and what better way than Nina Simone telling you it's all over baby? |
Noice. Will be on yours shortly. I had a real problem as I dwell on things instead of getting angry so the tracks were veering towards melancholy. I can't hate for too long.

Janszoon's mix:
Well again we took a different route and your choices are almost upbeat and juxtaposed with the lyrical content seems to be a guy who doesn't dwell on anything for too long. Loved the first Ween track and a perfect reminder that I have an album of theirs unlistened to yet. The Shods track would be perfect to put on a cassette and posted to your ex as a snide remark :D Stan Rigdway is a name I haven't heard for years but I have to say that I didn't much care for this track but I really liked the Heretix track. This compilation makes me seem like a pessimistic bastard as it's quite upbeat and a celebration that she's gone! Great stuff. I may have to give the Heretix album a listen :D |
