What Are You Listening To Right Now? II
Old idea. New thread. What song are you listening too now? Post a youtube link (not compulsory but links are better than the site streaming) and maybe a couple of lines about the song? Any posts with the just the track name and title will be deleted.

Kicking the new thread off...
Reagan Youth—"Anytown" Middle of the road early 80s NYC punk rock. Nothing special but, hey, I have my iTunes on shuffle. |
She lived on curve in the road, In an old tar paper shack, on the south side of the town, on the wrong side of the tracks.........
"wild eyed" Crazy Mary |
Pretty Lush - Glassjaw
You can lead a whore to water and you can bet she'll drink and follow orders. And I said, Is this what you wanted? I absolutely love GJ, glad this came up on shuffle, first song of the album and probably one of the best. I love his vocals, they're raw and throaty...I like the screaming and the emotion in it. Oh, and here's an interesting fact, Daryl Palumbo (singer of the band) and I share the same disease. woohoo!! |
Monday Monday Monday - Tegan and Sara
I lay awake and miss you when you go Without me What's wrong with you The next song on my shuffle was just too awesome to not put here. Tegan and Sara have great harmony (especially at the "Monday" part) and they're so endearing...and the music they sing to always fits very well. It's not very complicated music. I like the simplicity. This song, like Pretty Lush, has found itself at the top of my Myspace play list more than once. aaaand another great song comes up on shuffle... Borne on the FM Waves of the Heart - Against Me! (Ft. Tegan Quinn) Anxiety, Anxiety you give me no mercy. Grind my teeth smooth and flat in my sleep. We took some pills to calm us down. Then we needed help to come back up. Just trying to stay in control of the situation. This song makes me go crazy. Its so beautiful, it features two of my favorite vocalists ever...(Tom Gabel and Tegan Quinn) ...I don't remember who showed it to me first but it's been a video on my Myspace for months. That video was amazing..it was a live version. Gone now. :( So you get some crap with a picture. But go read the lyrics. So good. The guitar is really, really good too. But the vocals, just amazing. |
Our Need to Bleed - Circle Takes the Square
Pure fucking energy, and perfect closure to the EP. The stupid talking at the beginning is a bit long and unnecessary though. |
The Mars Volta - ouroborous
yeah well, The mars Volta is progressive rock, that's about all I can say right now. I love the contrast of the slower parts of the song in the middle with the frantic drums elsewhere. |
High and Dry - Radiohead
Just a laid back song. You can reminisce off this shit. Perfect Scrubs JD episode sum up music, if they haven't used it already. I doubt they haven't. |
King's Golden Toilet - Tipographica
|
I've been listening to it tons lately...
YouTube - Bleach "Son Et Lumiere/Inertiatic ESP" A great song from one of my new favorite albums. The guitar and keyboards really compliment each other on the softer parts of the song, and the fast parts are just pure electricity. |
Sianspheric - The Stars Above...........song is from 1995 (Hamilton On.)
hey who you callin a loser.......lol |

Sermon-Madvillain best track off Madvillainy 2, can't get much better then hering DOOM rap about being DOOM |
Routine Melodies - Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra
[not attempting to put the english version of the japanese lyrics..aha] Anyway, this song fits the title - "Routine Melodies" because the tempo of the song is slow like a routine but the feeling in it is happy and care-free like the melody. Anyway, watching the video made me laugh just watching the japanese men walk in place like robots and sing. Pretty damn funny. |
Bliss by Muse.
YouTube - Muse Bliss Don't know anything about this band, I see people talk about them on here sometimes though. A friend of mine is trying to get me into them and keeps sending me youtube links. I have to say, this song doesn't really do it for me. |
The Mushroom River Band- Racing
YouTube - The Mushroom River Band - Racing Sweden does Stoner rock. It's perfectly acceptable if highly unoriginal. |
Lilys - 365
Beautiful song, best track off of "Precollection". |
The Hound (Of Blood And Rank) - Coheed & Cambria
I can't get over the incredible catchiness of this song. |

Half Man Half Biscuit - 24 Hour Garage People
One of the funniest songs ever. 'I'll have two scotch eggs and a jar of marmite Two scotch eggs and a jar of marmite Two scotch eggs and a jar of marite What sandwiches you got?' |

|
Eddie Gale - The Rain
|
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
Finding a video of a 40 minute, 2 part song? Not a chance. :D Here's the opening stanza though- Really don't mind if you sit this one out. My words but a whisper -- your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think. Your sperm's in the gutter -- your love's in the sink. So you ride yourselves over the fields and You make all your animal deals and Your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick. |

The Pogues - Rain Street Words can't describe my love for this song. It's so uplifting, and the lyrics are terrific (if you can hear them amidst Shane MacGowan's drunken mutters of course). |
listen to music.oh what'S a pity.i always listen to music in my free time.i like pop
|
listening to All Nightmare Long- Metallica
personally what i think is the best song on Death Magnetic, more heavier song than many others on DM |
Dream Theater - A Change Of Seasons Although I dislike Dream Theater beyond Images and Words, this 23-minute opus is probably the best thing they've accomplished as a group since that time. |
La Demeure d'Un Ciel - Camille
The album version's still great, but this live performance is so stratospherically beautiful. Not to mention the beautiful girl to watch singing it  |
