Whenever I listen to this I think "Herbie Hancock must have a huge penis". Jokes aside this drumming is just incredible.

I know it's a cliche to like a metal band's most brutal album, but I really do dig Lamb of God's debut the most. It's just a force of nature that goes straight for the throat in a way that puts 99% of death metal to shame. Like the bastard child of a hatefuck between Slayer, Pantera, and Madball.

I've been listening to White Zombie's Astrocreep 2000 a lot over the past few days so I figured I'd listen to Helbilly Deluxe to see if I'd been ignoring it at my peril. I wasn't. Rob Zombie's fun and all, but his solo career definitely feels like White Zombie jumped the shark.

So now I'm finally listening to Ministry like I've been planning to do forever. Far superior.
