My stepdad is a huge fan of 30-50s music, especially big names like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, et al, and so I told him I could download anything he wanted and burn it to a CD. This was around a week before Hurricane Sandy hit, and I had downloaded a 2 CD set of Bing Crosby that kept all of the warmth and crackle in the recordings. Occasionally they'd be live, and you'd hear clapping, or sometimes a radio announcer speaking. It was the second or third night after we had lost power (thanks Sandy), and as I was sitting alone there in the cold dark house, watching the candles flicker, this CD I had made with all these tracks were playing.

I'm loving their new album Age Against The Machine.

It's amazing just how amazing this album is. I'm chilling at my friend's apartment cause he's got a high end computer coming through the mail and I'm signing for it while he's at work and for some reason Parklife is the perfect theme music to this.

SOD is amazing. Too bad they only had the one album back in the day, but that's all they really needed. Scott Ian's rhythm guitar was amazing, but as far as I'm concerned Charlie Benante's drumming was one of the best things I've ever heard. His work on "Milk" alone is worth the price of the album.

I might have used the wrong words. I mean, even if you think it's weak sauce, you'll have to admit that it's got some pretty strong tracks. To me, strong tracks are enough to make a 2-disc album with tons of fillers amazing. The Beatles' self-titled album is one of my favourites of theirs. Some say it's weak, I say it's amazing.
Meh. It has enough good songs that I'm not gonna sell it back to the CD store. If it didn't have "Zero" though...

Hey,Hey,My,My (Into the Black) is a song by Neil Young.
Many bands covered the song, the one i prefer is by Chromatics.
