I'm never sure how to feel about this album. It's incredibly clear production makes this a black metal album that has a completely different vibe than any black metal album I've ever heard, and that's interesting. The clarity actually makes this feel even more minimalist than black metal usually sounds. But that's also the problem, it's so clear and stripped down that it ends up sounding thin and skeletal and I just don't know exactly what to do with it. Maybe if Varg's songwriting were better then this would be a fascinating album, but unfortunately it just feels like a hit and a miss. This song is pretty fantastic though.

Homeboy Sandman - Musician

The beginning of this track reminds me of the conversation we were having last night about the difference between rap and hip hop music.

I love this guy and his new EP that just came out.
