You know, sometimes I really get how Robert E. Howard felt (except for the racism thing.) A modern man, in a world where the concept of the "manly" man was starting to change even in the early twentieth century, who still looked back romantically at the archetypes of masculinity from ages past. I know this kind of hardcore might be eyerollingly idiotic. I know the fans might be just as stupid. I know the whole chest beating, manly thing is just so last century, but **** does a little bit of male power fantasy give me some satisfaction. I'm sure it's one of the reasons why I love Manowar so much too.

I was leery of listening to this band when I saw them labeled as melodic hardcore since I remember being rather indifferent to Gorilla Biscuits, but these guys are a load of fun.

I was the monitor engineer for a show that they did in NY about 10 years ago. They put on a really great performance and were definitely a load of fun. My favorite song by them:
