The new album kicks ass. I read in an interview that David Thomas (the mind behind Ubu) wanted Lady From Shanghai to be an undancable dance album, and I think they pull that off well in most of the songs. Mandy's my favourite song on it so far.
I've only heard half the album. I don't have much to say as for its entirety but I do agree with that so far.
Just tried Bohren out and I have to say this is seriously music you can fall asleep to... but in a good way. A track you can sit back, relax and wonder or go to sleep and have some wonderful dream floating about in space with stars circling around you while reveling in another consciousness. Therefore, would be a great substitute for pot. Just sayin'.
