Storm Corrosion - Storm Corrosion

I'm digging the atmosphere and the eeriness here. Also, it's pretty cool how it sounds nothing like an Opeth/Porcupine tree crossover.

Well, not enough posts yet to link to youtube, but I'm listening to Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion, which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. If not, it's some kind of psychedelic electronic rock music. I'm not really a fan so far, but it's an interesting listen, at least.

As a drummer, I find that fascinating. I may have to check it out.

And speaking of stuff you've turned me onto...

This guy is pretty dang incredible, thanks for the rec.

Stetson is a beast, glad you like him. He's definitely on my bucket list for acts to see live. That'd be an experience right there.

Yes, it's an excellent record. Are you familiar with their album Feels? AC is one of the more unique sounds going these days, imo. Good dope, yo.

I always knew Killing Joke had a major impact on a lot of the alternative bands from the '90's, but I think this song from 1990 is a pretty convincing case that they had some influence on what Korn and other nu metal bands would attempt to make.

Don't let that turn you off, this song is one of the creepiest songs I've heard, and still sounds amazing.

Ah, that was my first favorite song by KJ back when I was a young'un!

For whatever reason I never listened to Extremities, Dirt & Various Repressed Emotions (1990) before like.. last week. When "Inside The Termite Mound" came on though, I immediately burned it to a CD and it's been in my car ever since... and not just because the CD player eject button is stuck.
