@Blarobargg - will definitely be checking that one out. Thanks!

@Batlord - Listen to the albums Think Tank and 13. 13 the one after their self-titled album and has kinda that same sound to it. Tender and Coffee & TV are quite possibly my favorite Blur singles. I can never decide on my fave album though, but I did listen to the self-titled one earlier today because it was on my mind since you mentioned it. I forgot how much I loved it, haha. Tracks like Beetlebum and Death of a Party are up there with their best songs. And on one other note I decided "Under the Westway" was one of my fave singles from this year. I was a little disappointed it didn't mean a new album but we did have more new stuff from Graham to listen to so it's all good. (:

JACKAL-HEADED GUARD OF THE DEAD - GRIMOIRE (2009)

Encouraging, unsigned, tight Scottish doom. Reminds me a little of Bongzilla. Maybe didn't blow me away or anything but for an independent band with, quite possibly, a long road ahead of them, I think it's very promising and I can't wait to see them live - which I will be doing in a weeks time.

That Cthulhu-vagina art is really disturbing I have to say.

Will do. I'm takin' a break from Blur to check out some Shins and Belle and Sebastian ATM.

I was a little put off by their sound at first. The metalhead in me just isn't wired to listen to this right off the bat. After a little time though, it's become soothing and pretty cool.

Giving this album a listen again. I love listening to post-rock in the morning.

This album was a real kick in the balls when it came out.

That has to be my favorite review of any album ever.

Yes there was really 4 vocalists in the band. I forgot how good this band was and how mundane Rock riffs can be transformed into fun.
