That's pretty cool actually. I wouldn't call it derivative, but it's still...you know. I was looking for some really unique sounding stuff that didn't remind me of the usual suspects. I've been listening to Today Is the Day, and they are ****ing fantastic. They combine alternative (especially noise rock) and grindcore, with some great vocals. This song right here is destroying my brain right about now.

Seriously, this is turning out to be one of my favorite albums. Love the direction they took with their sound. Much darker, new wavvier than their last two LP's.

I'll never understand why sometimes you don't like a band, even after several tries, and then all of a sudden, it makes sense. Just happened with Godlfesh. They were rather dull, and now they're gloriously nihilistic. *shrugs*
