Produced by Ray Davies, this was from the damn good Turtle Soup released in '69. Fact, it's Top 200 album debut was in the same week as The Monkees Present. Talk about the winding down of 60's Californian Pop with class! Lead on this one is Howard Kaylan. The Drummer on here is John Seiter. |

First time I tried to get into prog rock, I dove right into Genesis', Yes', and Gentle Giant's most impenetrable music and it put me off. Now I'm trying some earlier, more accessible stuff to get my toes wet, and it's pretty epic.
