Regina Spektor - "Fidelity"

She has such a floaty voice that I like to hear her sing. However, all her little gutteral stops sometimes get on my nerves so that at the end of the song I'm not sure if I liked it or not. Listening to her songs is a little like listening to someone with a verbal tic: once I start listening, it is hard to stop, because I'm wondering what sounds the person will make next.

I *do* really like the way the video plot unfolds at the end into a festival of playful, colored powder-throwing between two real people. That was cute.

My favourite soundtrack ever. Never fails to soothe me. Speaking of soundtracks, I wish the forum was more active.

Regina Spektor is one of my favorite artists right now. Soviet Kitsch is a great album, I recommend checking it out if you haven't already. "Fidelity" is a wonderful song, one of my favorites.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Bob Dylan, specifically Blonde on Blonde, like it a lot.

Thanks, spins, for the recommendation to listen to songs from Regina Spektor's "Soviet Kitsch" album. This is the only song I know (as far as know) off that album, and I like the piano and strings very much:

Regina Spektor - "Us"
Not sure what she's singing about (I haven't listened to the lyrics carefully), but it's contagious, apparently

Now, Bob Dylan...he's an artist where I feel as if I *ought* to like his music because it is so famous...but I can't list him as an artist whose music I like overly much. :/ What's your favorite song of his?

To be honest, I've only recently gotten into him, I've always known his music, but never really bothered to really sit down and give him a listen. I've always been into folky type music, and Dylan does it well, I guess its because I grew up listening to a lot of Johnny Cash and blue grass due to my parents. Songs that I really like right now by him are "Temporary Like Achilles," "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" and "Tombstone Blues." I do get that he may be hard to listen to, his reputation certianly makes you feel like you must appreciate his work, but it is most definitely not for everyone.
