Jackknife Johnny is a classic.

"From the army confessions, of his military days".
"You still carry the shrapnel, you're shell shocked and dazed".

Haven`t heard that album in years but always loved the whole background to the album. Hell I love the "Welcome to My Nightmare" two albums before this one.:pimp:

From The Inside is my favorite album by Cooper, The Quiet Room, Millie and Billie, and Inmates are classic Cooper singles as well. I passed on getting his new release the other day, I'll get it next time.

Alice Cooper is very underrated in my opinion as an innovative and original artist.

Problem is, he shot himself in the neck back in the late 1980s when he reinvented himself to sell albums again with the Constrictor album in 1986 etc. I mean if you`re going to re-invent yourself as a shock rock artist with a Bon Jovi style sound, you`re going to lose a lot of credibility:laughing: Since then everybody (general public) forgot just what a great innovative artist he was back in the 1970s, probably one of the very best in the 1970s.

One of his best eras is his forgotten period in the early 1980s, with his 4 new-wave/rock style albums. I mean Special Forces is an absolute classic and has a great cover of the Love song "7 and 7 is" originally off the Love De Capo album. Also Zipper Catches Skin is another great album.

That sounds like a fun party! :)

I didn't realize that Hank Ballard wrote and recorded "The Twist" and invented the dance! Inventing a dance would be a wonderful way to contribute to history.

Chubby Checker - "The Twist" (Cover) -- song composed by Hank Ballard

...

The Twist made me think of "Do You Love Me" by the Contours, since they mention the Twist in their song:

How do you feel after listening to one of the greatest albums ever?

Just finished listening to The Idiot by Iggy Pop, I always remembered it being a good album but now it sounds monotonous and boring.
