As usual another lesser known English artist forgotten amongst the usual cult 'must-listen to' artist that permeates every fashionable pore these days.

Thats The Pogues! Theyre crackin man, what album's that song off? Ive got quite a few albums, 'Rum Sodomy & The Lash', 'Hell's Ditch', 'Waiting For Herb' & 'Pogue Mahone'. The latter two of which I bought under the impression that Joe Strummer had been the lead singer on them but it turned out that he had only produced the 'Hell's Ditch' album, which is fantastic by the way. Turned out it was Spider Stacy who did the lead vocals after Shane McGowan left. Youve got me listening to them again now lol.
Really? I have no recollection of either being told about it/downloading whatsoever lol. I was very impressed with the 'Pawn Kings' album, especially the tracks 'Loosen Up' & 'Blood Is Thicker Than Water'. Also does a very good cover version of 'Green Onions', the original of which my step dad likes to dance to (badly) lol. |
