We had to listen to this in class last year when I studied Lebanese/Syrian dialect, but it grew on me :) It's actually pretty great

Half decent song but there are far more beautiful songs out there. Actually that does sound a little pompous.

There are many comparable songs out there that you may not have heard which you would almost certainly like.

TBH, that was the only thing where any skill and melodic composition and structure was well thought out - if you have heard the album it came from, Ah Via Musicom, the other songs are Police rip-offs and/or noodling, with only one other stand-out song - Steve's Boogie - a rockabilly tune

you'd be better off with Danny Gatton (RIP) - that was a true guitar genius
