I love how Tom Petty's lyrics give you glimpses of places and people, making them feel very real. The "freeway running through the yard" is so evocative of neighborhoods I remember from spending many winter holidays in Los Angeles.

Today I was listening to Billy Idol. I had forgotten how many of his songs I like until I heard "White Wedding" at work:

I'm listening to one of my big brothers CDs. It's Three Days Grace "One-X" and the track I'm hearing is "I Hate Everything About You". It's really cool. =D
