My son is a huge MGK fan and I got a kick out of this collaboration with Jelly Roll.

Who needs coffee when you have music like this? 2024 has been a great year for music.

Music In Motion by Hollow Ship

There has been recent activity talking about prog and jazz. This latest by Hollow Ship is from 2024 and dovetails nicely into those discussions.

Here is a similar sounding track from 2021 which is my favorite by them, Magic Mountain.

Newish by Bad Moves that hit Spotify less than two months ago. The entire album comes out September 13th.

Think Nick Lowe meets Eddie and the Hot Rods when you hear "Hallelujah".

This one has a bit more of a fractured new wave feel but still recalls the energy of pub rock. My least favorite of the three tracks but certainly worthy of a listen or two.

"New Year's Reprieve" actually sneaked out in December last year but appears on the recent three song single/ep. I consider it a 2024 release and it will certainly land in the top 10 best of 2024.

The band currently has three east coast shows slated for September (NY, Philly, DC). I'm hoping for a midwestern rust belt swing, fingers crossed.

Enjoy! You're welcome!

Local H is releasing a 20th anniversary remastered edition of 'Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles?'. I'm not sure if it is their best album but it's pretty strong start to finish.

A couple tracks are already out on streaming services and the whole album will be dropped just ahead of their tour which starts September 15th in Cleveland. I'm pretty stoked about this.

Title track...

Favorite track...
