(by the Red Clay Strays)
That is a great song! I also hear a little Blues Rock in there as well, which makes it even better. This one found over my lunch break (working from home), was 'dedicated' to me by my sweetie several years ago .... another nice country-rock blend Baby likes to rock if like a boogie-woogie choo-choo train.... Rock it.... (scat) You know she likes to take me dancin' on the outskirts of town Where the music's turned up and the lights are turned down Shake it shake it shake it on the dance dance floor Crowd crowd screamin' screamin' "more more more" Chorus: (She's) Got the boogie-woogie-woogie spread all over the place Got it stacked to the ceilin' got it stickin' in your face You know my baby likes to rock it like a boogie-woogie choo-choo train Johnny's in the back room suckin' on his gin Police are at the front door screamin' "let me in" Go-o-go-go-go dancer busy showin' off her chest She don't know what she's doin' but she tries to do her best (Chorus) Hook: Baby likes to rock it (Rock it) Baby likes to rock it (Rock it) Baby likes to rock it like a boogie-woogie choo-choo train (Chorus) (Instrumental/breakdown) She said her name was Emergency and asked to see my gun Said her telephone number was 9-1-1 Got Brother Jimmy on the TV, Killer on the stereo Said, "if you want to git it you got to let it go" (Chorus) (Hook) (Chorus) (Hook) (Chorus) Baby likes to rock it like a boogie-woogie choo-choo train

Wow, Deep Purple is sure looking...seasoned!
This is their new video but I don't think it's the strongest track from last week's release, "=1". Current members: Ian Paice Roger Glover Ian Gillan Don Airey Simon McBride |

It's new release Friday and a cover of "Passionate Kisses" by Sorry Darling was on my radar. It's a nice version that is just enough different from previous versions to make it fresh.
That teaser was good enough to get me to searching around for more from Sorry Darling and I found something from earlier this year. This video is semi-gold with lots of sit-com visuals that I recognize and some that I know I should. |

OK, Sunday morning is for oldies and I'm a sucker for '70's pop. "My Belle Amie" by Tee-Set reached #5 in March of 1970 but that's not the best part about this song. The best part is how vocalist Peter Tetteroo's mop inspired the exact same hair style sported by Laverne DeFazio in the sit com, 'Laverne and Shirley.

A new release by Sulo, the former frontman for Swedish rock band Diamond Dogs. All old recordings repackaged as far as I can tell but it's a great sounding album.
It's a really good track to get ready for the weekend. Anybody else got a track to start the weekend? Last edited by Buckeye Randy; 08-02-2024 at 12:42 AM. |

It's Sunday so it's oldies...
Today is a cover version of a song that was originally a hit for BJ Thomas in 1968. The 1973 version by Blue Swede is superior (IMHO) and received exposure to a new generation by being featured in 2014's "Guardians Of The Galaxy". ...ooga chaka... |
