If I didn't mention this before I have to thank my sweetie for pushing me in that directon. (That plus me not being American by birth.) He was led that way some years ago on an international forum that I think I mentioned somewhere around here.

The problem with major vacations is having to work 60 -80 hours a week before or after. Or both. Sooooo tired I can barely think. But heading to the Great Smokey Mountains tomorrow (vacation!!) and the 'Sisters Appalachia' came to mind. Leah (a.k.a. 'Leah Song' on youtube) and Chloe, products of their musical mom. This is kind of Bohemian new age mountain music or something like that but with an old-age instrument or two. I just love how unique their sound is.

I've been listening to them for a good while,
no filler, all feelers
Ayla Nereo has some similar vibrations

I think this track Goodbye, Goodbye by µ-Ziq, that has been hitting me this week also embodies a lot of the same graceful flight of the spirit.
Have a good time out there, I've only seen Appallachian nature through the screen, but it looks amazing!

Yes and I love this. The music (most of it) is elemental, unadorned, but the video is exotic and fascinating

Thank you! Here's a pic that my sweetie took about 15 years ago, actually in the Tenessee side of the Smokies on the Little Pigeon River. He went fly fishing there....

Includes a long description but I recommend watching the video undistracted.

I am currently listening to stuff way underground. I am listening to an artist from Charleston South Carolina, named Booda Cess. His album "Cessionz" is an amazing body of work. And then I am also listening to a very underground Las Vegas producer/rapper named RicRude. RicRude has a single called "Never Feel Fear" that I cannot take out of rotation. It is just that smooth ride out song. Just something about the way the beat is and how smooth and relaxed and in the pocket the flow is.

My Lover's Box - Garbage

(Aka a really good band with an unfortunately ironic name.)
