[QUOTE=rostasi;2177399]There was only about a 6 month difference between those singles in the late 70s and both were very popular in the clubs.
... and considering that something like 10 of about a dozen of their albums came out and charted before the 90's, I don't know how it can be said that they were too early for their time (???) Superstition and Rapture weren't all that great and they decided to hang it up after those. Flip side of that single has that T-Rex song too.[/QUOTE Just was answering the observation that was... why it was not more worldwide successful....which is was not... seemed to be the reason to me....was not looking for a serious response back......picking up on versions of the Beatles..UK Subs...she's not there..love those different ones..Went to a Beatles Concert/Gig back in the 60's and all you could hear mostly was girls screaming..so a waste a complete waste..listening to them live back then on youtube they sounded vocally crap..musically good though... Thing is I do not know why you pick me up on what I say..I do not understand your comments either and am now quite bothered as this keeps occuring and feel your just making me a cartoon...not nice for me at all...I have never intentionally hurt anybody in my life, I know I have..about time you thought about others feelings for once

Look, I understand that English is not your first language, but when you norg out a sentence that is practically indecipherable, we all have to do our best to try to interpret what you are actually saying. When you offer a comment that, to some, may seem ridiculous, then you have to be able to hear why. This is called a dialogue.
What I got from your statement about the Siouxsie track is that it would’ve been a bigger hit if it were released in the 90s ... and I’m saying that I can’t see how, because not only did it not fit in with what was considered popular music at that time, but when the 90s hit, the band was desperately trying almost anything to stay relevant and broke up soon after getting dropped by Polydor. When I give you advice on how to not keep uploading these “skeeter-in-your-face” pictures by recommending something like Imgur ... or when I get confused about some strange, earnest, off-topic thing that you drop right in the middle of a specific thread ... or when you chula us with the same pictures while tying them to some distant relatives that strangers would normally respond to in the same way people respond to other people’s dream stories, I, and others, tend to tell you about it not because we’re trying to “pick [you] up”, but trying to figure out what the hell you’re going on about. If you weren’t expecting a “serious response back”, then what was the point of your response to my statement? People make ridiculous statements all the time here - nothing new - but dialogue, sometimes heated, happens afterwards. If we start a thread about whether the moon landing was faked, you can start chiming in on the benefits of green cheese, but don’t be surprised if you get some blowback [no matter how much you think it’s (backwards) relevant]. |
