The past few days I've been revisiting a bunch of Brian Wilson demo recordings strewn across a variety of bootlegs and albums that I own and I'm reminded again that this man was on his own island there for awhile, and I mean that in a good way.
I appreciate these unfinished, rough recordings with flaws and all a bit more than the final product sometimes. It's like listening to an artist marinating in his own creative process trying to see where it takes him. A thing of beauty.
