Big fan of Asha Puthli's voice (which was included on the original release almost 50 years ago):

Yes that is a great voice. I'm going to check out the rest of this record too, this is cool

One thing that I couldn't get anyone to listen to - even small parts of it - was the following massive beauty. I had to wait until nobody was home in order to play it ... and being 12 or 13 years old that didn't happen too often, so I would load it up on my turntable and put the headphones on while sitting behind a set of drums. Goddamn exhilarating experience!

If you've got a couple hours to spare, then great! If not, then you might want to start at about 2 hours ("side 6" as I remember it) and ride it forward.
Massively good players on an incredibly dense piece of music.

I see some Art Ensemble of Chicago dudes in there as well as some familiar avant/free jazz staples like Steve Lacy, Dave Burrell, and Alan Shorter. Neat!

Dedicating this to my dearest friend Marla from Athens, Georgia. Today is her 52nd birthday. She's the biggest B-52's fan I know. So naturally 52 Girls is the tune in her honor today.

Happy Birthday, Marla!!!

The B-52's - 52 Girls

This is actually my first time listening to this album. It's quite nice.
