Created over 5 years, the music in the game is generative, randomised, and infinite. This OST takes just 21 of the 100+ pieces in the game, and turns them into traditional 'fixed' versions of the tracks. The soundtrack reflects Amanita's marriage of beautiful hand-drawn artwork with technology, as well as the game's progression through time - a mix of genres including primitive hand-made instruments, an ambient baroque world with bells and choirs and organs, a Classical world filled with piano and strings, an electronic world pulsing with analog synths, and a futuristic noir underworld with moody bass clarinet.. credits released July 23, 2020 Written, recorded, mixed and produced by Joe Acheson. Arrangements and programming by Joe Acheson. Mastered by Matouš Godík. Featuring performances and improvisations from: Joe Acheson: piano, zithers, modular synth, egg-slicer harp, glockenchimes, HAPI drum, harmonium, pistalka, mey, kantele, percussion, bass guitar, double bass, organ, drums, hammered dulcimer, log drum, kalimba, field recordings Jack McNeill: clarinet, bass clarinet (2,3,7,14,19) Rebecca Knight: cello (2,5,13,15) Jamie Graham: drums (2,3,4,5,7,11,14,20), bodhran (12) Tim Lane: drums, percussion (2,6,7,8,13,14,16,18,20) Poppy Ackroyd: violin (2) Yvo Ackroyd Acheson: shakers (6) Ali Tocher: bells, zither-box percussion (17) Phil Cardwell: trumpet (13) Su-a Lee: cello (16) Tomáš Dvořák: clarinet (2) |

Now listening to Pentimento Vol. 2 as well, the atmosphere is something else. Big fan of a few of his records but I haven't explored much of his discography so I'll have to fix that soon.

Link Wray chews gum and walks through sludge at the same time. Pretty amazing. ;)
