but don't fall for the "clickbait" title that Zorn decided to put on it because they are not, generally,
associated with death (one of them, "Adowa" - spelled incorrectly as most of them are -
originally was used for funerals, but has long been for various rituals since).

Interesting. I guess it kind of ruins the mystique but it's still an essential record of absolutely POUNDING rhythmic percussion.

Great! The vocalist was Webster Armstrong - the guy on the previous record I posted (with Prince Lasha).

Ornette's Science Fiction was a constant favorite for me back in the early 70s,
but that tune wasn't included until the complete sessions were released about 20 years ago.

Big fan of Asha Puthli's voice (which was included on the original release almost 50 years ago):

Well, they both got a lot of play in '84.
They were literally one after the other
back then and there's that SST sound.

Together they made a huge impact

This is a cool article if anyone is interested

It was like they worked in tandem to change the entire scene

Double Nickels is kind of a concept album or at least they made it thematic after the learned that Zen Arcade had a story

Back off Bucky. I already told her this. This is some goddamn serious revisionism up in this mother****er
