The Crushed Velvet Apocalypse is probably the Legendary Pink Dots album I go back to most often, but not sure what their "objectively best" outing is overall.

I'm still new to them but it's starting to seem like "just ****ing throw a dart at the ocean and you'll find a top shelf Dots album" is a viable option.

Yeah, the sheer density of quality is similar to why I still haven't caught up with all the Frank Zappa or Muslimgauze albums out there either. New stuff still comes out like clockwork every year and they aren't even alive anymore.
