Damn, this album and 80's Eloy in general has grown on me so much. Once you embrace the cheese and accept how fucking great these hooks and basslines are it's so good. Like seriously, In Disguise should've been in some 80's action movie and if it has that's a movie I need to see: |

^ Damn, that's pretty groovy. I somehow have all their albums up to 1988 except that one. Will have to fix that now...
On a different note, Evergrey are kind of a one trick pony in the accessible prog metal world but I like quite a few cuts from 2014's Hymns For The Broken. Probably their best album at this point from start to finish. Tom Englund is a phenomenal vocalist too.

Definitely, a lot of people cast it aside as one of their worst albums such as I did years ago, but now I love it. My favorite Eloy albums are still their first four, Floating being one of my all time favorite albums, but Performance and Metromania really aren't far behind at all. |
