Neil Young's on the beach
never heard it on the whole til yesterday for the past couple of months i got a year-end-list-mania so i was constantly hearing new stuff. i really enjoyed that but now its gotta stop! though theres like >10 2108 albums i keep listening to and thats plenty for my capacity of discovering new stuff. |

I've listened to only parts of Fishmans (and only from Long Season) and liked what I heard. They're a band I could see getting myself very familiar with repeated listens, and to build my appreciation I thought to start at the very beginning of their discography. Their debut, Chappie, Don't Cry, is a straight dub/pop-reggae album, and is super dissimilar from their subsequent work. It's not horrible though, and has some legitimately good parts tunes 'Future, for instance, under its belt. Insofar it's not the worst- very summery, happy and groovy. |
