The bestest.
Do you know if anyone else plays the hurdy-gurdy like Haino or other unorthodox approaches to the instrument?

I only know guys like Matthias Loibner, John Ralyea, and Valentin Clastrier who do some pretty amazing playing.
This guy doesn't play the instrument, but wrote the first modern work specifically for the instrument back in 1982. |

Søs Fenger - Sidste Time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCjaFIt2_bQ Haven't listened to this one since the 90's. Amazingly, I recognize the melody big time. It was in a Danish 90's horror movie that I remember watching with my sister. The title of the song is the same as the movie title and basically translates to "Last Class". It was about some students who stay over night at a school for reasons I can't remember, then get killed one by one. Interesting choice of song for a movie of that sort. Gorgeous vocal melody. |
