Bobby Hutcherson & Cedar Walton - Little B's Poem with David Williams and Eddie Marshall.

David's the only one alive these days. My first introduction to Little B's Poem was thru Doug & Jean Carn from the
Infant Eyes album I played incessantly beginning in '71. The song was written by Hutcherson for his son, Barry, in '65.

Still kinda beyond me atm. I'm more interested than anything so far. In the right mood I can dig on Brotzman or Clotrane in much the same way I can dig on harsh noise or industrial. The details go over my head but the whole can be fascinating. Oddly enough I haven't gotten much into more normal jazz but Machine Gun and Ascension are noice.

I think for a while industrial has been the next big genre that's gonna hit me over the head hard though. I've been diving into it here and there for the longest but I think it's becoming the soundtrack to my current alienation.

Regular industrial or industrial metal? I got some recommendations for both.

Either way here's Slab!, tons more people should know them. They were Godflesh before Godflesh:

Red Mecca objectively slays.

23 Skidoo is sick too but they don't have that crazy Voltatmosphere.

I could see Batman loving Ramleh, (Kevin Martin's) God, and maybe Coil and Nurse With Wound.

I know I've heard Ramleh and God but don't remember what they sound like or what I thought of them. Coil is ****ing sweet, and one of my first industrial albums was Nurse with Wound's Thunder Perfect Mind as a bob. rec. Still one of the sickest things I've heard. Remember liking earlier albums as well.

Well most of these bands are ones who would later go on to do metal stuff, and are on the more dance-able side of industrial, but here they are anyway. Thinking about it, you probably already know most of these:

early Front Line Assembly:

Laibach:

early KMFDM:

and more Slab! because they're so good:
