Unlikely collab that I had no idea about.

With some of this contemporary folk music and alt country, I really feel like I've found "my music". It's like I think every album I hear is brilliant.
Just a lucky streak, but I really have found many albums in a short amount of time that are like easy 9's or 10's.

Funny how this collab was my entry point to both Terry Riley and Don Cherry
If I remember correctly a friend of mine gave me a burned CD of a bootleg recording (don't remember if it was this particular recording). This must have been around 2006 and I was in my late teens, and both Terry Riley and Don Cherry have become major names in my music world since. Actually, this friend was the reason I even became a music nerd in the first place, and Terry Riley was one of my first ear openers.

Interesting starting point but a good one no less. Shape of Jazz to come and Music for the Gift were my introductions to both. Terry Riley's son Gyan Riley plays some great stuff as well.
