Twice in one day we're on the same page. The debut is one of the few glam metal albums that lives up to the promise that a select few bands in the genre ever reached. Thoughts on Love/Hate?

In my world, Batlord, glam metal is the musical term for hell. A (literally) hair-raising style, a sonic intercourse that should have never occurred, an earsore, a monstrosity, as much for music lovers as for hairstylists… but it has its charms. Faster Pussycat is one of them.

Love/Hate (I’ve just heard their first album) is, definitely, above average. “Blackout in the red room”, “Mary Jane”, “Slave girl”, “Tumbleweed”, “Straightjacket”, and “Why Do You Think They Call It Dope?” work like a charm.
