Leatherface are kinda great pop punk/melodic hardcore I think.

The Clash kind of annoy me with their schtick but this is still immense. That's some badass, deconstructed ass rock.

Dude, I'm toying with the idea that for the first year or so of their existence that The Clash were the most explosive rock n roll band ever and I can hear that aggression all over hardcore and metal.

I'm currently in the middle of listening to Clarity by Jimmy Eat World. Loving it so far. Fusing emo and power pop (thanks Blue Album and Pinkerton!) was a fantastic idea.
