As an artist you might not like people taking it in on shuffle but as a listener it's one of my favorite m.o.'s. I also listen to albums straight through but I usually shuffle or take things three songs at a time. Sometimes I turn to Bandcamp because you'll find really pure music there. I don't know exactly what word I'm looking for but like uncorrupted by polish and enthusiastic...youthful I guess. Not exactly lo-fi just like more human or something. But the convenience and organization of Spotify makes it by far my go to resource. It's what I want, when I want it, how I want it.

And agree about the Buzzcocks bat. I always used the with their name same as the swans. It's unnatural for me to stop now.

If there's one group with a plural name who shouldn't have a "the" in front of their name, it's probably Swans. "Ramones" never sounded right to me though.

I've never heard anyone not use the with the Ramones.

With the Swans it started to change after Children of God but by then I had been into them for some while. It's gotten to the point where I can feel it either way. I think it's cool to put the article before singular band names that don't use it like I think it's cool to say the Sonic Youth or the Pig Destroyer. That's like a Germanic thing so whatever.
