Just so many people I knew growing up said they didn't become fans of bands like At The Drive-In and their ilk overnight, but Fugazi and Huskar Du were big among the people I hung out with.

Not that you asked for my opinion. But I found At The Drive-In easier to get into compared to Fugazi. Post Hardcore can be a tough sell, but I feel that ATDI just execute on a level that could appeal to many a music fan.

My favourite guitarists are mostly avant-garde guitarists, but he's definitely very near the top of the list. He's also one of the biggest influences on my playing alongside Marc Ribot, Fred Frith, Richard Dawson, and Keiji Haino.
