He's right up there for me too. In the late '90s, an opportunity opened for me to
go study with him at Les Ateliers UPIC. He was so sick at that time that most work
and study went thru Gerard Pape and Xenakis was hardly out and about.
When he died, I decided to go to Stockhausen and spent 7 wonderful years
studying with him.
