Ivan Rebroff was actually a German who just had this whole russian shtick as a gimmick.
His pronunciation is pretty damn good though.

This is the singing (excuse me, SANGIN'!!!) equivalent of hilariously incompetent Shakespearean acting. She tries to sing and emote so much, but it's so, so bad. So bad. I never had any strong feelings toward Beyonce, but I think crushing indifference, perhaps even withering contempt, are in order here.

After revisiting The Orb's Further Adventures Live 2016 DVD and finding I dig it more after repeated listenings, I was curious about the roots of ambient dub music so I'm exploring albums like The Upsetters' Super Ape...

...and 14 Dub Black Board Jungle...

...King Tubby's Dub From the Roots...

...and a few singles I remember from college, like Max Romeo's "Chase the Devil"(sampled by The Prodigy on "Out of Space")...

and U-Roy's "Natty Rebel".

All great stuff.

I already knew Rihanna had some of the best pop singles of the past ever, but now it's time to see if the rumors of patchy albums are true. It's nice to rediscover this song at least.
