sorry but songs like astronomy domaine and interstellar overdrive are great enough to make this whole album worth a listen. not that the rest of the songs aren't good, the whole thing just comes together beautifully.

also listen to syd barrett's solo stuff if you haven't already.

OMG and see emily play

i used to be obsessed with that song

Yeah I'm totally falling over myself to listen to Syd Barrett.

I'll take your point when it comes to the back half of Bike, but there's some genuine genius going on there that is indeed going over your head, despite how superior USA is (because they're the best). Plus Interstellar Overdrive is some loud jammy fun.

Spinning side B of Low presently. Hauntingly lonely, melancholic, and surreal. Really beautiful stuff. Side A isn't really my bag, but the flipside makes it all worthwhile. Simon Reynolds described the record as "melancholy vapours of Satie-esque sound, wintry and emaciated..." - how could I not give it a spin?

^ I love side B of Low.

It's an unexciting Sunday evening.. Which means it's time for turkish disco!
