You will likely not understand the lyrics, but you can catch this feeling: making tune with frog, chicken and goat voices - don't handle it like a classical hiphop song, and then you will enjoy it! :D

As I listen to this Piper at the Gates of Dawn, an album from a band I hate that I thought would be different enough that I might actually like it, I find myself cringing at the vocals pretty much constantly. The solo singing is just so affected and hideously of-the-era of late-60s, self-indulgent psychedelic rock that I don't know how anyone but fans of the genre could take it seriously. And the close harmony vocals are more tolerable, but nearly as corny. That style still sounds passable in 2017 when the Beatles do it, but here it's horribly dated.
Musically this album is... alright. "Astronomy Domine" was pretty awesome and out there, but otherwise Pink Floyd are boring me for different reasons than they usually do. I think. Pretty sure I'm being bored by equally self-indulgent and corny psych rock rather than whatever the hell the band usually does. So yeah, still **** Pink Floyd.

Of all Bowie's albums, that's probably the only one I've never tired of. For some reason it never seems old or stale to me.

Boo!
That's the only Floyd album that makes no sense to call boring. While I dig their other ones, I'd get that criticism but Piper is too exciting. Pow R Toc H is better than anything The Beatles ever did.

Blah. All that noisy experimentation sounded incompetent. Like Floyd were trying way too hard to show how non-traditional they could be. At first I thought maybe it was just going over my head, but now I'm listening to The United States of America and all the noisy **** is vastly more entertaining, vastly more disconcerting, vastly more fun, vastly more whimsical, and vastly more atmospheric. And all without sounding at all dated cause it doesn't sound like a 60s stereotype. Makes me dislike Piper even more.
