While waiting for the train this morning in the rain, I thought of the eloquent orchestrations of Clare Fischer featured on various Prince records beginning with the side project The Family in '85. I can't claim to be a major Prince fan and haven't thought of this album in decades, but the orchestrations are what made it memorable to me.
