I'm willing to consider that I may have passed judgement on Jay-Z a bit rashly.

Absolutely hammered this album when it came out. Took me a couple years to realise there were two tracks hidden at the end of the last track. The Girls, Girls, Girls remix ended up being my favourite one.

I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Jay-Z's monotonous tone of voice, but this album is so smooth, and you can't help but get swept up in Jay-Z telling you how he's the best. It's bull****, but he just sounds so cool and confident that it somehow seems plausible.

I am listening to Material Girl.

Jay-Z fan status achieved. Too bad he keeps his music off Youtube, so I'll just have to "settle" for posting this track from American Gangster, which is currently knockin' my headphones off my skull.
