OMFG I wanna love Crowbar so much. I love sludge, and I love riffs, and Crowbar are 2 for 2 in that department, but the vocalist is like a drill into my brain. I will likely give them chances until I can either tune him out or trick myself into thinking he's not so bad.

I like Crowbar and their singer (mostly), but their lyrics are pretty upfront and clearly written by a sad five year old.

Re Crowbar, I really don't have the faintest idea what their lyrics are. But that's because of a combination of (a) me not giving a crap about lyrical content for most of the music I listen to, and (b) me having unusual cognitive problems understanding lyrics . . . and a lot of speech for that matter when people mumble, or speak quickly/slur words together, or when they have accents really different than mine, etc.
Re (b), I watch all modern films with subtitles on. There's way too much mumbling etc. in films. Stuff from the 50s and prior is a different story. I can watch that without subtitles just fine. |
