Karlheinz Stockhausen Gesang Der Jünglinge - Kontakte
Just noticed at 5:35 into the LP there is a sound which was sampled as the opening seconds of Elastica's "Connection."

Love me some Schulze. I've original pressings of all the early TD, as well as Irrlicht, Timewind, Body Love I and II, Mirage, Trancefer, and "X" (Sechs Musikalische Biographien).

What I wouldn't give to have experienced The Berlin School in its prime (1967-1973). And so many LPs - The Electric Lucifer, White Noise, Metal Machine, Trout Mask, Silver Apples (both of NYC and of the Moon), Stockhausen's Contact, Dream House 78' 17", Riley's Persian Surgery Dervishes, Dr John's Gris Gris, In a Silent Way, Moondog s/t, Times Encomium, The Last Poets, No Pussyfooting... and the explosion of kosmische musik. And events like Marcel Duchamp and John Cage speaking at my local university... so many incredible musical moments! But most of all, I'd love to have seen The Prisoner in its original broadcast run. It must have been spectacular.

Load by Metallica. I'm not going to treat it like the classics. they steered into hard rock, so I'll judge it for what it is, and not what the others are. And so far, I think Metallica do fine this way. Better thrash. Good rok.
