How has it been so long since I've heard this song? When she released Monster, people still thought she was only gonna get better. WTF happened GaGa?
I'll have to check that out.

Edit: ^^^ Hey, nice semi-coincidence with my post below. I only ever remember listening to Violator, but it's a pretty amazing album, if a bit short. Will need to listen to more of them, even though pop with male vocals generally doesn't connect with me as much as female artists.
Update: Nice. Kinda reminds me of Soho Dolls, which is definitely a good thing. I'm going to have to start pumping you for pop recs (seriously, just start naming names; the heavier the bass the better, but I'm in need of whatever you've got that will blow my mind). I'm sad that truly "great" trashy pop artists (e.g. Ke$ha, Natalia Kills, Lady GaGa, etc) can be so few and far between, otherwise pop would be up there with various metal genres and 70s/80s alternative as one of my desert island genres. Currently, Britain seems to be doing so much better than America with mindlessly catchy pop in that regard. If there was any justice, there would be a new "British Invasion". I just need to really immerse myself in that scene further, cause I'm only scratching the surface ATM. ---------------------------------- My new discovery: Róisín Murphy (Irish). More like modern, Depeche Mode-esqe synthpop than trashy dance pop, with those same kind of restrained vocals as Nadia Oh, but pretty f'ing awesome. I wouldn't even be embarrassed to tell "real" music fans that I listen to this. I imagine the fact that she's about a decade-and-a-half older than your average mainstream pop artist helps with her more mature, distinctive style of music. Once again, British pop > American pop. And yes, Trolly, I realize that Ireland isn't in Great Britain, but I imagine their proximity gives them similar sounds. See? That's what I mean by saying something about your posts in this thread.
