fuckers. .... SUCCESS!... (I will delete this post if it's that important to you) Moving right along. I agree with Scots. I spent a lot of time being a music snob but every time I'm subjected to music I wouldn't normally listen to I find something I like. And I also agree with the notion that "if it makes someone happy then it is succeeding." I don't listen to much dance music but if our ant-eating friend had his way there wouldn't be much dancing at all because King Crimson would be blasting at the club. That's not to say I don't think we are fed horrible music. Dance music is a perfect example of something that could stand to improve. There are a whole lot of people in Africa dancing their asses off to some of the best music I've ever heard, but that's beside the point. Finally... how would our self-indulgent MB resident music snobs get their egos up WITHOUT the "crap" music to make fun of? Who would make them look intelligent if they didn't have the others to belittle?!

I think i have a better taste in music than the majority of my friends. Mainly because i listen to a much wider range and generally a much larger quantity of music then they do. Thats not me being self-loving, im just stating fact.

I see your point... appreciating a large variety is a good argument for refined taste... and I've seen some of your posts and gotten a few really great recommendations from them, so yeah, in my opinion you do have good taste. But all I'm really saying there is that I like my taste, and we like similar things.
Taste is taste and that IS in the beholder (I say this at risk, apparently of trying to sound intellectual according to one post). Perspective is perspective. There isn't half as much talk about taste in food, or dissing on someone who has "bad" taste in food. Its essential, we eat to live, you like what you like. Music is also essential, its inseparable from human beings, and people like what they like, even if its McDonalds.

Dunno why I'm getting bashed and taken out of context here when I made quite a few good points. Plus, why would you eat at McDonalds when Burger King uses REAL sirloin from real cows?
ixtlan22: Don't you go hatin' on my dance club fool! You can jive your ass off to most of King Crimson's 80's output, and thats the fact of the matter!
