For me, Tupac is the G.O.A.T because he was so well rounded in terms of portraying a message. Now that he has stopped, I think Nas could be a 2nd place. Ever since listening to Illmatic, it got me hooked! Crazy beats, crazy lyrics, crazy flow. Well rounded. Another underrated rapper that you may or may not have heard of is Lecrae. Sick rapper, great message and good flow as well. So those are three of who I like.

death grips blows donkey dong
im tired of these wannabe edgy rappers gettin all this pub who wannabe as fake edgy as them (see ofwgkta and death grips) their music blows lets call a spade a spade ans strip away the BS em is int he elite, goat conversation. he just is, he has supreme talent and flow and though hes had some duds hes had more than his fair share of killer songs nas is the best though hes never been as commercial as the next man. cmon hes had like what, 1 big song?? so why do u think u see him on so many top rappers lists?? cause he got supreme talent. his flow is on a different plane than dudes and so is his story telling |

Eminem did absolutely nothing new, had absolutely nothing unique to contribute, and was pretty mucha cornball. Tyler and others suffer some of the same pitfalls, sure, but they're a lot smarter and in some ways more solid rappers than he is/was/will be. Earl's already at least as good an MC and will probably only get better. Tyler's way ahead of Em conceptually, regardless of how you feel with his lyrics or whatever, and the production is much more distinct than whatever Dre/pop bandwagon he rode on.
But me personally, I think Em is probably the most overrated MC out there, and I'm one of the few people who actually (admit to) lik(ing)e OF these days. I can understand that you don't like the shock factor, I will say I don't get your hate for Death Grips, they're not my favorite on a Hip Hop level but they have an interesting dynamic and don't really seem out purely to freak people out in their music anyway.
