From my point of view, as someone who's not a fanatical Hip Hop Fan the Rappers that have impressed me over time have been Eric B & Rakim, Eminem, & Big Daddy Kane. They've all kinda set out thier own stall with a unique voice and a power of delivery that can entrance the listener.
Not sure of the Correct artist here but also the exceedingly excellent KRS1/Boogie Down Productions. Excuse my ignorance as I say Hip Hop not really my bag. |

Lol 2pac actually tends to reuse his rhymes. Probably the best efforts in having different rhymes was in All Eyez On Me but his other albums are just a little more than decent
in my opinion the best rappers/rap group is Rakim or Run-DMC, followed by The Roots, 2pac, Ice Cube and Nas |

So the majority of people in this thread either are saying tupac or eminem. I can understand thinking that tupac is the best rapper ever even though I personally disagree but really eminem? I guess if you never bothered to listen to rap beyond what was on the top 40 you might think that.
