I respect Vanilla Ice because he was determined to keep going even after all the **** he went through. On his 1998 album, he switched directions & tried to become a hard rocker. It didn't work too well, but at least he tried.

Yes, ....and now he's bankrupt. And, like you, if he'd taken the time to listen to all the people who told him he sucked to hang it up he wouldn't have ended up wasting all that time and effort accomplishing nothing more than becoming an living embarrassment.

First of all, Tupac has alot of early stuff where he's a party based "wile out" rapper and that doesn't fit my criteria fro good rap. I admit the Puff Daddy screwed up alot of Biggies songs for that stupid whisper/talk crap in the background but who are you gunna take in a rap battle? Im going with Biggie everytime.

Maybe im Bias cause I think New York owns rap and the west coast had a moment in time where they were good and for the rest of the time, they've sucked. And I like Tupac. But just to say he sucks and for liking him we like Ja Rule, well I think your off base.

And Biggie's rhymes were all about violence and women. Come on, you act as if they guy was vanillia ice.

Actually tupac and biggie did have a beef battle. How many disses did biggie drop on tupac? NONE. How many disses did tupac drop on biggie? I cant even count. As many times tupac dissed biggie, biggie would never reply. You know what is wierd, how rappers were dissing other rappers and it was cool, but when tupac dissed biggie everybody got all pissed off. In my opinion biggie was way overrated. How are you going to say you would pick biggie over tupac in a battle? THEY ALREADY HAD A BEEF BATTLE MORON!!! What do you think led to their deaths. Aside from their deaths who do you think won their battle? Biggie who didnt even drop battle material or pac who bombed biggie every chance he got. And look at today, Biggies camp isnt making any money off biggie while pac is still on the top of the charts. Pac was in the guiness book of world records and on entertainment tonights top ten musicians of the century list. Do the math dumbass. Next time do a little reading before you come onto a thread acting like you know what you talkin because obviously you ignorant to what you are saying. All the statistics point to TUPAC.

You know you cna't just make up information and expect no one to call you on it. And at what point does one grow out of the "this guy is tougher than that guy" routine.

Tupac isn't god, and frankly, all his new stuff isn't even worth mentioning. Also, makin money off of material doesn't mean you're better than someone else. And am I alone in thinking that saying "beef" makes you look like an idiot?

You are right about tupac's new stuff being garbage, but its not his fault. You have to look at eminem and pacs mother on that one. And since when does "beef" become idiotic. That is what makes the hip-hop culture so unique. I admit that pac and biggie's beef did get to a level that it shouldnt have. Just take a look at hip-hop now. Who is more widely listened to Tupac or Biggie. Look at the material they released. Biggie came out with three albums and pac had like nine. Now he is up to like fifteen. In my opinion biggie had one really good album, and that was life after death which sold like 12 million units. Thats amazing. Im not saying that biggie was garbage, im just saying that he was hyped up to be way more than what he was. The same situation just occured with jay-z and nas. Everyone is saying that Jay-z is better than nas, when nas won their beef battle. He shut Jay down in one song. But Jay is still considered the best rapper alive. The reason is because he talks about how great he is and how much money he has, because he is commercial like biggie. Pac and Nas dont talk about that **** that much, they talk about what is going on in the streets and they are a lot deeper than Jay and Biggie. And whats this **** about me making up stuff. Just go to yahoo and type in "Tupac/Guiness World Records" and the official site with the official page will come up with tupacs picture and info. And the entertainment tonight thing, that was on t.v. but it is probably on their website. In the end it comes down to opinion and what you look for in rap. I just go on statistics.
