Especially since the person being laughed just graduated from college a couple weeks ago.

No, I am pointing out that someone who is unable to do that most basic of functions (support oneself), has no right to criticize other lifestyles.

Did you ever consider that he has an arrangement with his parents to help them out, and isn't just mooching? I don't know GB at all, but it isn't really fair to assume that he's a moocher just because he could be.

I can't comment on the other lifestyles that you're referring to, as I don't know what they are.

But its not easy to support oneself if you're a college or university student, a part-time job helps but doesn't support an independent lifestyle.

I think the quality of the person's argument should be assessed, not an ad-hominem attack on their circumstances.

They might be living with their parents because they are fourteen years old - or are in some other ways a victim of the circumstances. It's a very poor standard to judge someone.

It's all got to do with arrangements really. Free loaders I don't really agree with, but with family it strikes a sentimental code. If the family is supporting each other with whoever pays, there's no problem there. Family support can be in a lot of different ways, not just money. It touches on a
very different basis of lifestyle then anything else. Free loaders don't support anything, family home of not.

Correlating is Correlated. I think its up to parents to bitch about the freeloader, anyone else can check their concern at the door. I moved out when I was 18 years old and never looked back, it doesn't work that way for everyone.
