I sort of know the feeling, I had a similar attitude towards Ugly Kid Joe, although they were disliked for being a hair metal band after everyone had got bored of hair metal.

Dude, were you even alive when Ugly Kid Joe was popular? I never thought of them as hair metal, and their 15 minutes was after the hair metal era was over anyway.
